Last October, the Tax and Customs Administration SME Leeuwarden was all about vitality and health. From October 21 to 23, employees were given the opportunity to gain more insight into their health and discover areas for improvement through PDG Health Services' Fitchecks.
Fitchecks during vitality week
During these three days, vitality advisors Anne, Ralph, Renรฉe, and Femke welcomed over 100 employees for these health checks. Each employee received a comprehensive 20-minute check-up, during which their BMI, waist circumference, body fat percentage, visceral fat, blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol were measured. This not only provided a good picture of their current state of health, but also gave them tips on possible lifestyle changes if necessary.
The employees received their personal health results on paper and were also given valuable advice. The vitality advisors gave each participant personal tips tailored to their individual situation, whether it concerned nutrition, exercise, or other lifestyle advice. This personalized approach was greatly appreciated by the participants. The informal atmosphere and the time taken for each participant ensured that everyone felt at ease.
Response to the Fitchecks
The vitality week was a huge success and the responses were overwhelmingly positive. Many employees expressed their enthusiasm about the accessible and personal approach of the vitality advisors. Jan Brandsma, manager of the Tax and Customs Administration SME Leeuwarden, said that the Fitchecks were the absolute highlight of the vitality week. "I have received nothing but praise from employees and the management team! Everyone was enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn more about their health and appreciated the professional, friendly approach of the vitality advisors," said Brandsma.
Towards a vital future
With the successful completion of the Fitchecks, the Leeuwarden SME Tax Office is looking forward to a follow-up. Employees who want to continue improving their health can sign up in six months' time for a Preventive Medical Examination (PMO), which will take an even more detailed look at their vitality and any areas for improvement. This program not only helps employees stay physically healthy, but also improves their well-being at work.
PDG Health Services is proud of how the vitality days went and would like to thank Jan Brandsma for the pleasant collaboration. We look forward to the next vitality week!
