It wasn't so long ago that Preventive Medical Examinations (PMEs) still used paper questionnaires. At a certain point, new terms were introduced to the market. A PME was about lifestyle, vitality, and later on, resilience and employability.

Many themes are still relevant today and perhaps more relevant than ever. We are becoming increasingly aware of where we stand, what we can influence, and what we want to achieve. For this reason, PDG Health Services is introducing a questionnaire that addresses these issues: the life stage awareness questionnaire.

Life stage awareness

With the life stage-aware questionnaire, not every employee is asked the same questions. This makes sense, because not all your employees are the same age or are in the same stage of life.

This forces employees to think not only about buying a house, their career, and childcare when they reach the age of 30, but also triggers them to think about their retirement. Will you still be able to work for another seven years when you turn 60? The reverse is also true: at 60, you are less concerned about your retirement, because the influence you can still exert on it is minimal. Employees are challenged to continue working physically and mentally until their retirement, and perhaps they will want to continue working even after that. In short, everyone faces very different challenges.

How wonderful that attention is being paid to this during a PMO. Attention, a personal conversation with an experienced nurse.

Leadership

The new PMO addresses another important topic, namely leadership. We are convinced that good leadership has a positive influence on productivity and job satisfaction. How would employees respond if they did not have to request leave, but were responsible for the days of leave they took? As an employer or manager, you trust that if an employee takes three weeks of leave, it is because they need it!

How would you handle it if you were free to work from home whenever you wanted? How would you feel if you had to log in occasionally during your vacation to send an email? The culture within a company, its health policy, and leadership are important elements in making a PMO a success.
