Driver's license examination
According to the law, you must be 'fit to drive' for your own safety and that of other road users. To be deemed fit to drive, you must be mentally and physically capable of driving. Age, health problems, medication, or a disability, for example, may be reasons for being deemed unfit to drive and not allowed to get behind the wheel. To assess this, you must undergo a medical examination. Your fitness to drive will be medically assessed by a doctor from PDG Health Services via a driver's license examination or CBR examination. The examination results are then sent directly to the CBR digitally, and a CBR doctor will assess whether you are fit to drive.
A driver's license examination as a truck or bus driver
If you are a driver of, for example, a truck or bus, you bear a great deal of responsibility. A truck or bus is a large and heavy vehicle, and drivers often spend many hours at a time on the road. That is why truck and bus drivers are subject to stricter rules for being deemed fit to drive than regular car drivers. You must therefore renew your C1, C, D1, or D driver's license, possibly with a trailer (E), every 5 years by undergoing a medical examination.
