Driver examination
The purpose of a driver's medical examination is to assess physical and mental fitness for driving a truck, bus, or taxi. Depending on the sector, the basis for the examination is laid down in the Passenger Transport Act (bus drivers) or in the various sectoral collective labor agreements. The exact content of the examination is not legally defined, but is based on specific job requirements associated with the profession. Examination findings that may pose a risk to the responsible practice of the profession are assessed by the doctor against the CBR's assessment framework, the "Regeling Eisen Geschiktheid 2000" (Regulation on Suitability Requirements 2000).
