Freight transport driver examination

The examination for freight transport drivers falls under the collective labor agreement (CLA) for professional goods transport. This also includes drivers of mobile cranes. This CLA does not apply to companies that have drawn up their own CLA or their own terms of employment. However, it should be noted that the content of these collective labor agreements must be at least equivalent to the level of the collective labor agreement for the sector. This also applies to the periodic medical examination. The examination is not the same as a driver's license examination, but it can be combined with it. This medical examination is valid for 5 years.

The inspection consists of the following parts:

  • Questionnaire
  • Height and weight
  • Blood pressure and heart rate
  • Urine; testing for sugar, protein, and blood
  • Distance vision (with and without correction)
  • Fields of vision
  • Whispered voice
  • ECG (โ‰ฅ 55 years)
  • Limited physical/psychological examination
